Meet the designer.
SUSHK was started by Designer
Sushma Kilachand in 2000.
She studied Fashion Design at the Los Angeles Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising after which she worked for Saks Fifth Avenue in Boston .Soon after, she returned to India & started working for designer Krishna Mehta who was in the process of launching her ready to wear label. 2 years & many Fashion shows later, Sushma started her own label, mainly catering to the men & women of the social scene of Mumbai city.
Sushma has held several exhibition in the United States from Boston to San Francisco & was invited to have an Open bazaar at the ICRW (non-profit organization for women & children's education) in Washington D.C.

Was featured in the front pages of the fashion section of the Toronto star.
Was featured in Flare magazine
Was the costume designer for a documentary titled “when the music speaks” March 2007
Was interviewed for the multicultural show “ECHO” for Sun TV.
Interviewed for the show “Badhai ho” on OMNI.
Sponsored outfits from her collection for the “Jewel heart Ball “2004 in association with the Heart & Stroke foundation of Ontario.
Dressed the board members of the “South Asian leadership Conference 2004”
Was a participant of the south Asian “Kismet Wedding Show”2004.
Dressed the board for the “Rogers annual Gala event”2004
Exhibited her line of shirts for the “Yoga studio “open house event 2004.
Was invited to be a participant of the ICRW( International Centre for research on Women), 2004 “International Bazaar” in Washington D.C.
Did a fashion show for the South Asian business festival in May 2006.
She worked on a number of projects for 2006-2007 including the South Asian Festival Media launch.
Showcased her collections at the "South Asian multicultural Festival,” 2006 held at the international centre.
Donated an outfit for a fundraiser as a silent auction prize, the proceeds of which, went towards the fight against domestic violence.
Did a fashion show for a south asian charity event in may 2007
Was the costume designer for a documentary titled “when the music speaks” March 2007
Was invited to speak at a young womens entrepreneur luncheon in kitchner June 2006 and will be speaking again in July 2007.
Had a private showing for the “goddess events “ in Toronto
Is presently an active member of the “Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce.”
